In this world
Where men make the rules
For the women to follow
and the men to break,
In this rainbow
Where white is gold
Brown is good enough
and black don't mean a thing,
In this war
Where small girls are mothers
Young boys are soulless old men
and sons slaughter their mothers
In this life
Where evil is good
and good is evil,
Do you wonder
that
am a ruined woman?
Where men make the rules
For the women to follow
and the men to break,
In this rainbow
Where white is gold
Brown is good enough
and black don't mean a thing,
In this war
Where small girls are mothers
Young boys are soulless old men
and sons slaughter their mothers
In this life
Where evil is good
and good is evil,
Do you wonder
that
am a ruined woman?

Beautifully tragic...
Thank you, Miss! Na karibu kwangu!
heavy.I like the expression; words said like a woman, carved like a woman
a poem that speaks the held back words of every woman in us
Beautiful...short and precise
This is beautiful... You write beautifully :-)
